About Us

The National Association of Blind Lawyers (NABL), a division of the National Federation of the Blind, is a professional membership organization of blind lawyers, other blind legal professionals, and law students. NABL’s mission is to provide resources, mentoring, and collective action benefiting blind legal professionals to help all blind people live the lives they want.

We operate our programs largely through the support of generous donors. Please consider making a donation to the National Association of Blind Lawyers - any amount helps.

2023 Mock Trial

Join the National Association of Blind Lawyers for our 23rd Mock Trial.  Federation lawyers oppose each other to enact a case addressing the civil rights of blind people, and the audience serves as the jury. The subject matter is serious, but the courtroom portrayers are very entertaining.

Tickets cost $6 per person. Individuals may purchase their tickets online below or in person at the event. We accept credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, and cash. Cash payments will receive a discount of $1 for each ticket.

Previous Mock Trial Recordings: Celebrate Scott Labarre

This year, for the first time ever, we will be making available for purchase, a curated selection of previous NABL mock trials.  Scott Labarre chose them himself prior to his passing.  These recordings feature Federation lawyers, including Scott Labarre, Charlie Brown, and many others in a variety of roles.  These recordings will be available via download, or for those attending the NFB Convention in person who prefer, via flash drive.

Individuals can purchase the recordings online, or they can visit Lisa Bonderson at the NABL registration table outside of our meeting room, or they can purchase them from Ronza Othman during General Sessions at the Maryland delegation.  Proceeds will go to the Scott C. Labarre Leadership and Justice Fund.

Access to the recordings cost $22. Individuals may purchase online below or in person as described above. We accept credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, and cash. Cash payments will receive a discount of $2 for each purchase.
